One of the inhibiters ot achieving a healthy lifestyle is something we all are faces with everyday… Stress! Did you know that stress has been linked to heart disease, ulcers and strokes? If your days are filled with meetings, events, chasing kids and ten “to do” lists it’s time to take care of yourself and work towards your physical fitness in aaddtiion to your spirtual fitness.
You must make yourself a priority in your daily planner. You need to schedule time for exercise that includes both aerobic (cardiovasuclar activity for your heart) and weight resistnat training (strength work for your muscles). you need both to be healthy!
At the end of the day if you’re “Too Tired to Tango”, then you need to do omething to rev up your engine. The best way to do that is to increase you oxygen intake. You see, oxygen is the key to life and energy. Your body love it and your mind thrives on it.
How do you increase oxygen intake? By moving hard enough to raise your resting heart rate (the rate at which your heart beats per minute). The average resting heart rate is 70-90 beats per minute. Sitting still and quiet or fitst thing in the morning ou can take your heart rate by using your index and middle finger. You place them at the top of the wrist same side of the thumb (palm up). you will fee the blood pulsing throught the vein. Using a watch or clock second hand count for one full minute. That number will be your resting heart rate.
